Syrena to piękna, a zarazem dzika i gwałtowna istota. Uwodzi i przyciąga skrywaną we wnętrzu drogocenną perłą, lecz wyszczerzone kły spływające jadem to ostrzeżenie i obrona przed próbami odebrania klejnotu lub ujarzmienia tej istoty kryjącej się w niedostępnych głębinach. Zanurzona w chaotycznym żywiole pozostaje wolna, samotna, poza kontrolą, władzą i ograniczającym bezpiecznym światem.
Syrena jest jedną z prac mówiących o kobiecości, która wymyka się społecznej normie. Afirmuję potworzyce – ich śmiałość, nieskromność, nieposkromienie, złość.
The mermaid is a beautiful, yet wild and violent creature. She seduces and attracts with the precious pearl hidden within, but the bared fangs dripping with venom serve as a warning and defense against attempts to take the jewel or subdue this creature lurking in inaccessible depths. Immersed in the chaotic element, she remains free, solitary, beyond control, authority, and the limiting safety of the world.
The mermaid is one of the works speaking about femininity that defies societal norms. I affirm the monstrous women – their boldness, immodesty, untamed nature, and anger.
